This service follows clinical best practices to promote safe, effective reunification—centered on the child’s well-being and the family’s overall readiness. It is recommended when a child is preparing to return home or has recently been reunified.
Sessions may include individuals, dyads (such as parent and child), or the full family, depending on the treatment goals outlined during assessment.
Throughout the process, the child’s safety remains the top priority.
MCC clinicians work closely with local county agencies to monitor progress, respond to emerging needs, and support long-term family stability.
Children are matched with a screened and trained counselor for individualized mentoring that fosters supportive, one-on-one relationships.
Mentors serve as positive role models while helping youth build social skills, improve communication, and develop problem-solving strategies.
Sessions take place in the home, school, or other approved settings with guardian consent.
If the referral is due to a child’s emotional, cognitive, relational, or behavioral difficulties that impact their functioning, the funding source is CSA/FAPT or Medicaid.
