The Behavior Technician works directly with the client and receives weekly supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). MCC’s services are provided in the home as well as in the community, and focus on increasing the client’s verbal behavior and daily living skills. We also focus on decreasing maladaptive behaviors through the use of reinforcement and antecedent interventions.

Responsibilities

  1. Attend all meetings related to clients and organizational trainings
  2. May participate in conducting assessments and program development
  3. Implement behavior plan under the supervision of a BCBA
  4. Work on a treatment team and be an active team player
  5. Collect and document frequency, duration, and skill acquisition data
  6. Record progress on client goals based on collected data
  7. Conduct scheduled teaching sessions using Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Verbal Behavior, Discrete Trial Training (DTT), and/or Mand Training
  8. Adhere to documentation requirements to include daily, weekly, and quarterly reports, as needed
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, special education, or related field preferred
  2. Valid driver's license and independent transportation in addition to passing a background check.
  3. Passion for working with children and/or special needs population
  4. Sensitivity to and understanding of people of diverse cultures
  5. Preferred: bi-lingual candidates.
