Psychiatric services are provided to individuals who are in need of psycho-pharmaceutical interventions in addition to therapeutic services already in place to address concerns.
Provided by a physician licensed to practice psychiatry and skilled in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of youth and adults. The evaluation shall include but not limited to: review of records, collateral interviews with parents, teachers, referring worker, and others as appropriate. This may includes a face to face evaluation feedback session with the individual evaluated at the conclusion of the appointment. A written (typed) report which provides a psychiatric diagnosis.
Provided only to clients who are currently receiving on-going treatment through MCC. A licensed psychiatrist will review medication regiment and to assess the benefit of current medication treatment and make adjustments, if needed.
