This short term, goal oriented approach is designed to address the child and family’s identified needs/risk factors, due to emotional, behavioral, interpersonal and social concerns - focusing on improving their functional skills and stability.
We provide intensive, interdisciplinary counseling and service coordination services for at-risk children, adolescents and their families to prevent out-of-home placement.
We work to improve coping skills; develop higher levels of psychosocial functioning for the child/family; and promote effective and successful readjustment to home/community.
An assessment of the child/family issues is conducted by a licensed mental health professional who provides treatment recommendations.
Our comprehensive home-based approach includes working with the individual issues of the child and the parents, working with the family issues and with the environmental issues impacting the family (i.e. school, employment, housing, health care, extended family, neighborhood).
A team of counselors provide Individual, Family or Group Counseling. Our counselors are trained, experienced cross-cultural mental health professionals.
